The Wilhendorf Experience
The loyalty of our clients is our greatest achievement. With many returning to Wilhendorf for their second, third, and even fourth dogs, their trust stands as the clearest reflection of the integrity and quality behind our breeding program.
"Our Josef is the best friend the boys could ever have! He's always watching over them and has fallen into the big brother role so easily. He has the best temperament with two small kids. Anyone who meets him always says how he's the most beautiful Shepherd they have ever seen. Thank you John so much for such an amazing best friend."

"Hi John, I hope all is well.
First of all, I can't tell you how thankful and grateful I am for Onyx. You breed a spectacular dog! As you can tell I'm totally smitten :)"

Litters and Reservations
At Wilhendorf, we breed with the finest parents and lineage in the world. Our dogs hold VA (Excellent Select) and V (Excellent) ratings, proven working titles, and certified hips and elbows. By producing only select litters each year, we are able to truly know each puppy’s character and temperament, something that sets our program apart. With over 60 years of family dedication to making the right match between dog and owner, our family remains hands-on from birth through send-home day to ensure every Wilhendorf puppy receives the foundation it deserves. As a result, many puppies are reserved in advance by approved homes seeking a Wilhendorf German Shepherd as a high-level family companion, service dog candidate, or show prospect.
Through the years: generations of true family dedication, hard work, and the exceptional dogs that define Wilhendorf.
